The Beehouse Band Recording Day will offer your band the possibility to record and produce to a high commercial standard.

At £250, it offers six hours in a professional studio environment.

The session, suitable for professionals, semi-professionals and also complete beginners in a recording studio, is a lot of fun and highly enjoyable, with lots of support and the resulting CD is often highly impressive!

If you're wondering what you can hope to record, it's probably best to call the engineer in advance of your booking and discuss what may be achieved during your day, given the style and complexity of what you wish to record. Much depends on the time you spend warming up and how quickly and accurately you can lay down lines, so if the band is well practised ahead of its session so much the better.

The producer engineer working with your band will assist in any way possible to help you create your recording - this may include recording and production recommendations, adding to the production with further instrumentation, drumming or vocals, and assisting in the scansion of lyrics so that they fit well within the track.

As well as time spent on the recording and production process, the session deals with set-up for recording, advice on vocals and instrumentation, information about recording techniques, and also where appropriate about production, mixing and mastering. Cover versions or original material may be recorded, and each of the band receives a CD of their work to take away.

The software and hardware of the studio is at your disposal for this session. The studio has an excellent drumkit and wide range of guitars and keyboards and pianos which you may wish to make use of, the drumkit is particularly useful if you don't wish to transport your own. Vocal tuning software is available for that additional polish which is sometimes requested on a singer experience! We also have a variety of vocal effects and techniques to lend different qualites to your vocals, as well as Cubase for the production of instrumentation and a wide variety of instrumental effect which may be added.

The Band Recording Experience costs £225 for a six hour day, with subsequent days at £199.75.

The recording process was a very enjoyable experience - laidback but productive, and we were never made to feel pressured by time restraints etc. We felt in control of the product, for example if weren't satisfied with a particular sound, Phil would experiment and alter the sound until the desired result was achieved. Phil put emphasis on the quality of the overall product and even did additional mixing in his own free time. The tracks were mixed, mastered & then duplicated according to how many CDs were required. The finished CD exceeded our expectations and we would recommend Beehouse Studios to anyone who is looking for a professional but friendly place to make a demo."
