The Beehouse Jazz Recording Studio Experience is for singers and musicians of the Jazz genre who want to sing or play the songs of their favourite Jazz icons.
Still at £199.75, it offers five hours in a professional studio environment to
sing or play traditional or contemporary jazz number, or tracks from any other era. There is also a three hour mini-experience available at £135. If you know someone who's a massive Jazz afficianado and loves to sing, this could be a brilliant novel gift for them! (*All Jazz Experience vouchers or other specialist vouchers can be used as general recording studio experiences if so desired. Your voucher is totally flexible and you can book to record whichever styles you like. )
The Jazz recording studio experience session, intended for complete beginners in a recording studio, is a lot of fun, with plenty of support from our friendly studio staff. The whole recording atmosphere is geared to relaxation and enjoyment, even though the resulting CD is often highly impressive! Come in a car with a CD player!

During our Jazz experience, our production engineer will also work with you on microphone technique and layering of vocals in a variety of typical jazz styles, traditional or contemporary, depending on your taste. Our Jazz stars for the day are able to select backings from our in-house catalogue, or request more unusual tracks to be ordered in. Occasionally bespoke tracks can be developed.
Vocal tuning software is available for that additional polish which is sometimes requested on a singer experience!
We also have a variety of vocal effects and techniques to lend different qualities to your vocals, and help you to simulate the vocals of your favourite Jazz icon..!

Jazz Recording Studio Experience description:
*Five hours' recording, mixing and mastering, and the expertise of a professional studio engineer producer.(Other length sessions available)
* A beautiful voucher for the experience day by first class post, with a personal letter describing the gift.
* A commercial standard disc and MP3 of your recording.
* For singers :free use of the studio in-house backings (many thousands). Two tracks may also be bought in from our approved supplier at our expense, within the cost of the 5 hr voucher, or one track for the 3 hr voucher.
* Alternatively, trad. backings etc may be played in at the studio
* For musicians, access to backings as and when required, editing and special effects for your instruments. A selection of pianos, professional keyboards and guitars are available at the studio.
* Microphone coaching.
* Tuning assistance if needed, for that final product!
* Use of the studio lounge and 42" plasma screen television/DVD for your guests.
* Up to four may come with you to back you up, and take photographs.
* Suitable for up to three participants.
* Suitable for all ages - staff are CRB checked.
* Any lyrics provided on request in advance or on the day.

* The recording studio is set in an isolated location in outstanding unique countryside. Spend the night at a local bed and breakfast, or hotel, or camp out.
* Recording studio staff have between them both a high level of musical experience and training, and various teaching and languages qualifications. Well equipped to make anyone feel at ease.
* Your studio production engineer, Phil, has a great rate of success even with the shyest individuals. We enjoy the experiences, and so will you!
* We are immensely flexible and musical. If you decide at the last minute that you're bringing your flugelhorn instead, we'll be delighted, and play in all the backings for you! Please surprise us!

Your Jazz Recording Studio Experience Day at the Beehouse
Your brilliant day begins when you arrive at the Beehouse, and meet the team. A brief chat follows during which we introduce ourselves and find out something about you and your interest in jazz and other music. You may wish to have a cup of tea or something else, although by that stage, you'll realise that recording at the Beehouse is a very relaxed event, and the agenda will be set largely by you.
Then into the studio, where your tracks have already been loaded.
Phil will work with you through your numbers, and the atmosphere is light and enjoyable. As you work, you get to hear elements to the finished product, and can walk through into the main studio to listen and contribute to ideas for improvement, changes etc, and see how all those buttons work!
If you run out of material during your Jazz recording studio experience we can download or source other tracks in minutes to make the most of your day.
During the last hour you can relax in the studio lounge whilst Phil brings your recording together, and your disc is personalised to your taste.
You then leave with a fantastic jazz "album" to listen to - and hopefully a CD player in the car!
